In celebration of the creative spirit and the love for literature, we invite you to showcase your favorite literary characters through the art of cosplay. Whether you're a skilled cosplayer or a first-timer, we welcome everyone to participate and bring their favorite literary characters to life. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow book lovers, express your creativity, and immerse yourself in the magical world of books.

Cosplay Contest Rules
1. Eligibility:
a. The cosplay contest is open to all attendees of the Book Festival.
b. Contestants can participate individually or as a group.
2. Costume Guidelines:
a. Cosplay costumes must be based on characters from literary works.
b. Costumes should be respectful, appropriate, and non-offensive.
c. Revealing, explicit, or overly sexualized costumes are strictly prohibited.
d. Costumes should not contain any sharp objects, pyrotechnics, or anything that may cause harm or pose a danger to others.
e. Any blades must be fake or foam. There will be no fake guns allowed on the premise so please keep that in mind when planing your cosplay.
3. Registration and Check-In:
a. All participants must register for the contest online by June 19th.
b. Contestants must check in at the designated location during the specified check-in period.
c. Late arrivals may be disqualified from participating.
4. Conduct and Behavior:
a. Participants must adhere to the YAM code of conduct and behave respectfully towards others.
b. Harassment, bullying, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
c. Participants must respect the personal space and boundaries of fellow attendees.
5. Judging Criteria:
a. Costumes will be evaluated based on craftsmanship, creativity, and resemblance to the original character.
b. Peers will consider the effort, attention to detail, and overall presentation of the costumes.
6. Awards and Prizes:
a. Prizes will be awarded to the top contestants, as determined by the judges.
b. The prizes will be announced and presented during the closing ceremony.
7. Photography and Media:
a. Participants may be photographed or recorded during the contest and related events.
b. By participating in the contest, participants grant the YAM the right to use their likeness for promotional purposes.
8. Disclaimer:
a. YAM and its organizers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the contest or related events.
9. Changes and Disqualifications:
a. YAM organizers reserve the right to make changes to the rules and guidelines, if necessary.
b. Violation of the rules may result in disqualification from the contest.
